The President of Uzbekistan received a US delegation

On June 25, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received United States Trade Representative Jamison Greer, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The parties discussed current issues related to the further strengthening of the Uzbek-American strategic partnership, particularly in trade and economic matters.

The intensification of business contacts and the steady growth of mutual trade and investment turnover were noted with satisfaction.

The practical results of the roundtable discussion with American businesses at the recent Tashkent International Investment Forum were discussed.

Special attention was paid to cooperation regarding Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO and the US side’s continued support for these processes.

The importance of effectively using the US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council to identify and promote new project initiatives was noted.
