The President of Uzbekistan received a British delegation

As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the UK business community, led by Lord Jason Stockwood, Minister of State for Investment, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The meeting was attended by executives from leading British companies, banks, and financial institutions, including UK Export Finance, Standard Chartered UK, Sturgeon Capital, Endeavour Mining, and British Petroleum.

The parties discussed the further expansion of trade, economic, investment, and financial cooperation.

The positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation were emphasized: trade turnover and the number of enterprises with British capital are growing dynamically.

Proposals for the development of the Tashkent International Financial Center, the International Commercial Court, and the capital market, as well as technological partnerships in pharmaceuticals, artificial intelligence, and energy, were supported. Particular attention is paid to promoting joint projects in the areas of finance, infrastructure, public-private partnerships, green energy, transport, geology, and the oil and gas industry, including projects to develop social infrastructure and waste recycling.
