President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of his official visit to the Russian Federation, held a meeting in the city of Kazan with Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the press service of the head of our state reports.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of our state noted with satisfaction the high results of fruitful cooperation achieved in recent years. The volumes of mutual trade and investment are growing. The Chirchik chemical-industrial technology park is operating successfully in the Tashkent region, and the construction of a technology park in the Jizzakh region continues.
Large cooperation projects are also being implemented in the chemical industry and mechanical engineering. There is a branch of the Kazan Federal University in the city of Jizzakh.
The results of the third Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, held the day before in the city of Kazan, were noted. In particular, agreements on the creation of new industrial parks in the regions of Uzbekistan together with the Russian technology parks “Alabuga” and “Master”.
Issues regarding the implementation of promising cooperation projects in metalworking, the information and communications industry, housing and communal services, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of education, tourism and youth policy were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to promote practical partnership projects in key areas on the basis of joint road maps.
