The President of Uzbekistan spoke in favor of further development of interparliamentary relations with Egypt

On May 30, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Senate of the Arab Republic of Egypt led by its chairman Abdulwahab Abdulrazik, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Senate conveyed to the leader of Uzbekistan the warm greetings and sincere wishes of the President of Egypt Abdelfattah al-Sisi.

Current issues of further development of Uzbek-Egyptian relations of comprehensive partnership and expansion of multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

The ongoing contacts and exchanges at all levels were noted with satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade and the number of joint ventures are growing. Cooperation projects in the fields of geology, agriculture, energy and tourism are being implemented together with leading companies in Egypt.

The importance of further active development of inter-parliamentary relations, the creation of friendship groups in legislative bodies, ensuring parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements at the highest level, exchange of experience in the field of ensuring rights and expanding opportunities for women was emphasized.

Particular attention is paid to the continuation of practical interaction within the framework of international structures, in particular the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Arab Parliament.
