The President of Uzbekistan called for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Jordan

On July 6, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Ayman Hussein Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed to the head of state the sincere greetings and best wishes of King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan.

At the meeting, current issues related to expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Jordan were discussed.

It was noted with satisfaction that the fruitful high-level talks held last year in Samarkand opened a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations.

As part of the agreements reached this year, interparliamentary friendship groups have been established, the first meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission was held, a Business Council has been established, and air service has been established.

Particular attention was paid to further deepening political dialogue and promoting joint projects and programs in trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

An exchange of views on current issues on the international and regional agendas also took place.
