The Presidents of Uzbekistan and the UAE discussed the issues of further expansion of multifaceted cooperation

On March 11, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The head of our state cordially congratulated the President of the UAE on his birthday, warmly wishing him good health and well-being, great success in his state activities, as well as peace and prosperity to the friendly people of this country.

During the conversation, they discussed the prospects for further expansion of multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the areas of trade, investment, innovation and high technology, green energy, agriculture, logistics and transport.

It was noted with satisfaction that in recent years there has been a dynamic development of Uzbek-Emirati relations. Over the past year, the volume of mutual trade has doubled. There are 240 joint ventures operating in Uzbekistan, the portfolio of projects exceeded $3 billion.

Mutual interest was noted in the implementation of new cooperation projects in the field of petrochemistry, the food industry, the development of infrastructure, the mining and metallurgical industries, as well as building up programs for financial and technical cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The telephone conversation between the leaders of Uzbekistan and the UAE took place in a traditionally open, warm and friendly atmosphere.
