A working group to support foreign investors will be created at the MIFT

As Spot reports, the first meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President was held in Tashkent. Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally took part in it.

The head of state outlined six priority areas for cooperation with the council. He also proposed reorganizing work with foreign investors on the basis of a special support working group at the MIFT.

The working group will act jointly with the council. Its main task will be comprehensive and systematic assistance to foreign businesses.

Representatives of the group will provide investors with all services, from a meeting at the airport to the issuance of licenses and permits for doing business on the principle of “one stop shop”.

The activities of the group will be coordinated by the first deputy head of the MIFT Laziz Kudratov. He will be relieved of other duties and will focus on supporting investors, the President indicated.

Minister of Investments Jamshid Khodjaev, Head of the Ministry of Economic Development Jamshid Khodjaev and Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov will ensure a positive resolution of applications received in their areas of work.

One of the first tasks of the working group will be the development of a road map based on the proposals of investors. It will identify projects, their deadlines and responsible persons, as well as amendments to the legislation for their implementation.

“We will take all measures so that your business in Uzbekistan is successful, so that you feel confident, free and comfortable in our country”,- Mirziyoyev emphasized.
