The manufacturer of gypsum mixtures and boards KNAUF opened a third plant in Uzbekistan

The world’s largest manufacturer of building materials based on gypsum KNAUF (KNAUF) has launched its third plant in Uzbekistan. This is reported by the press service of the company.

The enterprise was built in Fergana in 2.5 years. It is able to annually produce 17 million square meters of gypsum building boards and 40,000 tons of dry building mixes made according to German technology and high environmental standards. The plant employs the latest generation of dust collectors, which eliminates the possibility of the formation of so-called “dust plumes”.

The volume of investments in the plant amounted to 18.7 million euros. 55 people are employed here.

The solemn ceremony of launching the enterprise was held on July 20 with the participation of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, co-owner of the company Nikolaus Knauf and Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan Tilo Klinner.
