Production of electric vehicles in Ferghana will be launched by the end of the year

In Fergana, the production of electric vehicles on the basis of the Central Asia Motors enterprise will be launched before the end of this year. The general director of the company Bakhodir Akhmedov informed the khokim of the region Khairullo Bozorov about this, the press service of the administration of the Fergana region reports.

The head of the region got acquainted with the progress of the project to develop the production of spare parts for electric vehicles and the production of cars and trucks electric vehicles. The enterprise will also localize the production of electric car bodies, charging stations, spare parts for batteries.

According to the press service, $50 million will be invested in the project: $5 million each – personal funds of the entrepreneur and a bank loan, $40 million – foreign direct investment. The production capacity will be 10,000 electric vehicles per year, of which 40% is planned to be exported.
