A meeting was held with the leadership of the Department of Islamic Development of Malaysia on the implementation of Halal certification and expansion of exports of domestic products

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Khaidarov held a video conference with the Deputy Director General of the Department of Islamic Development of Malaysia ‘‘JAKIM’’ Dato Sirajuddin bin Suhaimee, the press service of the Ministry reports.

The parties discussed the implementation of agreements on the historic visit of the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim to Uzbekistan in May this year. In particular, they exchanged views on the state and priority areas for the development of the Uzbekistan-Malaysia relations in the field of the halal industry, certification and increasing trade and economic cooperation.

The parties agreed on the timing of the ‘‘JAKIM’’ delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan, during which a practical training seminar is planned for local specialists to introduce them with the system of the Malaysian halal industry and the implementation of halal certificates in various industries.
