The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nodirjon Turgunov met with the Minister of Environment, Water Resources and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia Abdulrahman bin Abdulmuhsin Al-Fadli, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
At the meeting, the ambassador spoke about the investment potential of Uzbekistan in the agricultural sector, the opportunities created and the benefits provided to investors by the state.
The issues of establishing bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture, attracting leading agricultural companies of Saudi Arabia to implement investment projects in our country were considered.
The parties paid special attention to the issues of importing modern technologies of Saudi companies in the field of agriculture to Uzbekistan, increasing the volume of exports of agricultural products grown in our country.
Also, in order to expand the export range of national products, import fresh and dried fruits, honey and other types of products grown by Uzbek entrepreneurs and farmers to the Saudi market, the possibilities of organizing their participation in the ‘‘Saudi Agriculture 2024’’ exhibition, which will be held in Riyadh on October 21-24, were discussed. At this exhibition, Uzbek companies will be able to expand their opportunities to enter the Saudi Arabian market by presenting their products and innovative solutions.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on taking specific steps aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and increasing trade turnover.
