The Swedish company is studying issues of establishing cooperation in the development of the telecommunications sector of Uzbekistan

The head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and European Union Institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Oybek Shakhavdinov, met in Stockholm with representatives of the Swedish telecommunications equipment company Ericsson AB, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

During the negotiations, the prospects for implementing a project to expand the coverage of 5G mobile communication base stations in all regions of our country were discussed. The issues of modernization of mobile communication base stations of local telecommunications companies of the republic and the opening of an official office by the company in Uzbekistan were studied in detail.

It was decided to continue further negotiations with interested ministries and departments during the visit to Uzbekistan.
