President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation of construction projects aimed at developing tourism, transport, and social infrastructure, the press service of the head of our state reports.
The country’s high economic growth rates, active foreign policy, expanding international cooperation, and Uzbekistan’s transformation into a hub for business and tourism require accelerated and balanced infrastructure development. In this regard, special attention is being paid to the creation of modern transport networks, service facilities, and public buildings.
During the presentation, projects for projects in various regions of the country were reviewed.
In particular, a Congress Center and a historical and ethnographic park are planned for the city of Khiva. These facilities will facilitate the hosting of major international events and increase tourist flow.
The construction of a Confucius Institute and a Lu Ban Workshop is also planned, providing conditions for cultural and educational events and training young people in modern professions.
The modernization of Urgench International Airport includes expansion of its infrastructure, improved passenger and cargo service, and enhanced logistics capabilities, which will elevate the region’s transport potential to a new level.
In addition, construction of a separate railway line from the Urgench railway station to the renovated airport is planned, which will significantly improve passenger convenience.
Projects for the improvement and landscaping of the existing Urgench-Khiva highway, as well as the construction of an alternative highway, were also proposed.
A project to build an exhibition center in Fergana, which will provide the necessary conditions for hosting international exhibitions, business forums, and major events, was discussed. It was noted that the implementation of this project will contribute to increasing the region’s investment attractiveness.
Furthermore, an initiative to establish a research center named after Burkhoniddin Margilani was presented. The center is planned to establish international-level activities in the field of spiritual heritage and scientific research, as well as to establish a modern scientific school.
Proposals for the construction of a new modern campus for Bukhara State University were reviewed. The need to create a comfortable educational and scientific environment for faculty and students was emphasized.
The construction of a modern rhythmic gymnastics complex is planned in Tashkent. The center will provide all the necessary conditions for developing young people’s potential and training professional gymnasts.
The President emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to quality, convenience, and modern standards in project implementation, improving urban development practices, and addressing the needs of the population, issuing relevant instructions to those responsible.
