The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, Beibut Atamkulov

On 30 January 2026, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, Beibut Atamkulov, the press service of the MIIT reports.

The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of trade, economic, investment and transport cooperation. A steady positive trend in bilateral trade was noted, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further increasing trade turnover under the Joint Program aimed at raising bilateral trade to USD 10 billion by 2030.

According to the results of 2025, bilateral trade amounted to USD 4.97 billion, reflecting an 11.4% increase. Exports reached USD 1.55 billion, up 1.2% year-on-year, while imports totalled USD 3.4 billion, marking a 16.6% increase.

The parties also reviewed preparations for the first meeting of the Council of Regional Leaders of the two countries in 2026, as well as the organisation of the “Made in Uzbekistan” and “Made in Kazakhstan” industrial exhibitions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening the strategic partnership, expanding investment cooperation and maintaining a regular and constructive dialogue.
