On June 27 this year, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Ahmed Faruk, the press service of the MIIT reported.
During the talks, prospects for the development of bilateral relations and issues of further intensification of mutual cooperation were considered. In particular, the positive dynamics of bilateral trade between our countries observed in recent years was noted.
Prospects for the development of cooperation in the field of transport and logistics were considered separately. An increase in the volume of cargo transportation by almost 5 times in recent years has been noted. An agreement was reached on the mutual adoption of measures to fully utilize the existing potential, meaning the development of transport infrastructure.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on a format for further interaction for the practical implementation of planned and new joint projects and confirmed their mutual desire to deepen trade, economic and investment cooperation between our countries.
