A meeting was held with the heads of the directorates of special industrial zones (SIZs) created and operating in the country with the participation of Chinese companies

Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ilzat Kasimov, held a meeting with the heads of directorates of Special Industrial Zones (SIZs) established and operating in Uzbekistan with the participation of Chinese companies, the press service of the MIIT reports. The meeting was attended by representatives of Mingyuan Silu (Tianjin) Industry Co. Ltd., Da Shun Group, Anhui Huayan Group, Wenzhou Jinsheng Trading Co. Ltd., and Sinoma Tech.

During the meeting, the parties conducted a detailed review of the current status of investment projects implemented within the SIZs with the participation of the above-mentioned companies. Discussions also covered infrastructure development, the application of existing tax and customs incentives, as well as operational challenges arising in the course of project implementation. In particular, attention was given to issues related to the connection of external utility networks to SIZ territories, relocation of power transmission lines and gas pipelines, construction of internal and access roads, and the establishment of a high-voltage substation.

Following the discussions, comprehensive clarifications were provided on all issues and proposals raised by the Chinese investors, and concrete practical solutions were proposed to ensure their phased and timely resolution.
