From October 31 to November 2 this year, a training seminar on the topic ‘‘Management of the development of special economic and industrial zones in the regions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent’’ was held at the Directorate of Management of the FEZ ‘‘Jizzakh’’, the press service of the MIIT reports. The main goal of the event was to improve the skills of employees and exchange experience in the effective organization of the FEZ activities.
Classes were held on topics such as the role of industrial zones in the economy, principles of financing the activities of directorates, increasing the share of the private sector in the economy, creating favorable conditions for foreign investors, providing the FEZ with infrastructure and connection to utility networks.
It was emphasized that the heads of special economic zones should take into account the capabilities of the region when organizing new projects and develop special proposals with the involvement of qualified specialists. Exhaustive answers were given to questions of interest to listeners regarding the implementation of new projects, the correct formation of their sequence, provision of energy resources and other aspects.
Participants also received skills in attracting preferential financing, detailed information on the legal protection of investors’ rights and ensuring the inviolability of property in industrial zones, and on the features of the implemented system of allocating loans within the framework of entrepreneurship development programs.
A visit to the ‘‘Jizzakh’’ FEZ was organized for direct familiarization with manufacturing enterprises and projects being implemented.
