Adviser to the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade held a meeting with Regional Directors of ‘‘Union de Banques Arabes et Françaises’’

On November 4, 2025, Abdulla Khashimov, Adviser to the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Olivier Grizard and Olivier Topuz, Regional Directors of ‘‘Union de Banques Arabes et Françaises’’ (UBAF), the press service of the Ministry reports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed UBAF’s development strategy, its international achievements, and prospects for expanding the company’s activities in Uzbekistan.

The discussions focused on enhancing Uzbekistan’s foreign trade relations, diversifying export-import directions, and strengthening cooperation with countries in Europe, East and South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

The participants also exchanged views on modern financial instruments used to support international trade – such as documentary letters of credit, international guarantees, trade and export financing mechanisms – as well as opportunities for cooperation with export credit agencies and multilateral financial institutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in further developing interbank cooperation, introducing innovative export financing mechanisms, and enhancing the qualifications of financial sector specialists.
