Uzbekistan and India are preparing to hold a joint business forum

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Shalesh Pathak, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

During the event, detailed information was provided on the favorable conditions created in Uzbekistan for cooperation with representatives of business circles of foreign countries, their investment activities, the benefits and preferences offered, the successful experience of Indian companies implementing joint projects in our country.

The prospects for further development of relations between the two countries in trade, economic and investment spheres, science, education and tourism were discussed.

Representatives of Indian companies were called upon to take an active part in international events held this year in the city of Samarkand, including a high-level conference on food security organized by Uzbekistan and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization on September 7-8, 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization UN on October 16-20, as well as the Tourism Investment Forum as part of this important event of the year in the hospitality industry.

Shalesh Pathak, in turn, said that preparatory work is underway for the participation of a delegation of Indian entrepreneurs in the 7th International Exhibition of the Textile and Fashion Industry, which will be held in Tashkent on October 18-20, as well as the Uzbek-Indian Business Forum as part of the implementation the agreement reached during an online event in early August between representatives of the Embassy, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and FICCI.

At the event, it was decided to hold, in cooperation with FICCI and the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a meeting with representatives of the leading companies of this country at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi, where detailed information will be provided on the favorable conditions created for investment cooperation between foreign entrepreneurs with Uzbekistan, as well as new joint projects will be discussed.
