Uzbekistan and Poland expand cooperation in the textile industry

Uzbek diplomats in Poland visited the Łódź Voivodeship and held meetings with the regional authorities, the leadership of the city of Rzgów and «Ptak Fashion City», the correspondent of the «Dunyo» news agency reports.

The discussions focused primarily on establishing direct partnerships between the Łódź Voivodeship and Uzbekistan’s textile-producing regions, particularly the Fergana Region, as well as increasing exports of Uzbek products to the European market.

During the meetings, the historical importance of Łódź as one of the centers of the European light industry was highlighted. Against the backdrop of rising labor and energy costs in Europe, the parties discussed opportunities for supplying competitive, high-quality finished textile products from Uzbekistan to strengthen the region’s position in the European market.

The Polish side expressed particular interest in developing such supplies on a systematic basis.

One of the practical outcomes of the meetings was a preliminary agreement between «Saodat Sanoat Servis LLC» from Namangan Region and Polish companies on the production and export of women’s clothing under a Polish brand.

The parties also noted the successful experience of Uzbek brands «Imir», «Aisha Home», «Bombacio» and «Empire Textile», which are already operating in the Polish market, and agreed to expand cooperation with them.

To further develop business contacts, broad participation of entrepreneurs from the Fergana Region is planned in the international exhibitions «Warsaw Home Textile 2026», to be held on October 21–24, and «Fast Textile 2026», scheduled for November 17–19.

A major joint business forum with the participation of representatives of the textile industries of both countries is also planned as part of these events.

In addition, from October 11 to 15, a large delegation of representatives of Poland’s light industry, led by the management of «Ptak Fashion City», will visit Uzbekistan.

The Polish delegation will participate in the international exhibition «Heimtextil Uzbekistan» and hold talks with local enterprises on new investment and export projects.
