Uzbekistan and China’s Gansu Province Discuss New Opportunities to Expand Trade, Economic, and Investment Cooperation

The expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China’s Gansu Province was the main focus of a roundtable discussion held on October 28 at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry reports. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and a delegation of the Gansu Provincial Enterprises Association, led by Ms. Xie Yuhua, Secretary of the Joint Party Committee.

The talks brought together representatives of leading Gansu-based companies, including ‘‘Lanzhou Dingheng Real Estate Development’’, ‘‘Beijing Xiandai Zhisheng Electronic Systems and Engineering’’, ‘‘Inner Mongolia Dada Labor and Construction’’, ‘‘Beijing Hongke Engineering and Technology Group’’, and others operating in construction, agriculture, tourism, and energy.

The Chinese side was presented with detailed information on Uzbekistan’s market potential, investment environment, and a portfolio of 500 promising projects. Proposals were discussed regarding the establishment of an Association-led technopark in Uzbekistan and prospects for cooperation in the field of geology.

Following the meeting, the Gansu delegation noted the positive dynamics of bilateral engagement and invited the Uzbek side to participate in upcoming promotional events (Roadshows) in Gansu Province.
