Uzbekistan and Japan develop interregional cooperation

The leadership of the Andijan Regional Department of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, as part of a regional delegation, visited Tokyo (Japan).

Within the framework of the program, a seminar was held on the topic “Investment potential of the Andijan region” with the participation of more than 50 representatives of leading Japanese companies, such as Mitsubishi, Dell, etc. The investment opportunities of the Andijan region, the resource base were presented, answers were given to Japanese businesses of interest questions.

During the visit, a number of meetings were held with heads of ministries and departments, educational institutions and leading Japanese companies. Agreements were reached on the implementation of construction projects of “New Andijan” with Shimizu Corporation, an investment project worth 10 million dollars for the production of artificial fiber with Ripro Corporation, an investment project for the production of electrical insulating gaskets from plastic products in the amount of 5 million dollars with the company’s management ” Kaori International Japan Co., LTD.”
