Uzbek diplomats discussed prospects for implementing major infrastructure projects with Great Britain in London

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov held a meeting with Paul Dyson, the CEO of ‘‘Crossrail International’’, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

‘‘Crossrail International’’, a subsidiary of the UK Department for Transport, specializes in the design of large infrastructure projects and provides strategic advice to client organizations in the development and implementation of complex railway projects around the world.

‘‘Crossrail International’’ has implemented 63 large transport and infrastructure projects in 20 countries with a total value of $520 billion.

During the conversation, the British side was familiarized in detail with the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, cooperation projects with representatives of foreign business circles, the favorable environment created for investment activities, and current benefits and preferences.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects in various sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan, in particular in the design of large infrastructure projects.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold bilateral meetings and visits in order to accelerate cooperation in areas acceptable to the parties.
