$2 billion of foreign direct investment will be invested in Tashkent in 2022

In 2022, it is planned to use 738 projects in Tashkent for investments worth $3.8 billion, including $2 billion of foreign direct investment. This year, 500 projects will be launched and 27,000 new jobs will be created. This was written by the press service of the head of state.

The head of state noted that the city of Tashkent has wide financial and economic opportunities, therefore, by increasing the number of regional projects, an additional $100 million can be attracted to each region.

Points of growth are also indicated in the sphere of foreign trade. In particular, this year Tashkent’s exports are expected to reach $1.4 billion, and by 2026 the figure should reach $2.5 billion, the presentation noted.

It was instructed to meet the demand of the domestic market and increase exports by attracting major international brands.
