The Agency for Strategic Reforms discussed cooperation with “DB Engineering & Consulting”

Today, the Agency for Strategic Reforms held a meeting between the Director of the Agency, Bakhodir Rakhmatov, and the Head of the Representative Office of “DB Engineering & Consulting” in Uzbekistan, Innokenty Belyakov-Zagumennov, the press service of the Agency  reports.

For reference: “DB Engineering & Consulting” is a subsidiary of ‘‘Deutsche Bahn AG’’, the largest railway operator in Germany. The concern was founded in 1994 and is a joint-stock company with a 100% state share. The company employs 340 thousand people, manages 33.3 thousand kilometers of railways, and the volume of freight traffic is 100 million tons annually.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to issues of reforms in the transport sector. The proposals of “DB Engineering & Consulting” on scaling up the training of drivers of JSC Toshshahartranskhizmat were considered, which should contribute to improving the qualifications and quality of urban transport services. The prospects for the introduction of advanced technologies and optimization of transport processes aimed at increasing the efficiency and safety of the transport system in Uzbekistan were also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on current projects in the transport sector. The German side proposed to adopt a joint ‘‘road map’’ for the practical implementation of proposals, especially in the transport sector.
