A roundtable discussion was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi, bringing together over 30 Indian entrepreneurs working in everything from information technology to solar panel production, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
At the meeting, representatives of Indian companies expressed their willingness to launch joint projects in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, electronics, the creation of craft hubs, and other areas.
Representatives of Indian business circles were provided with detailed information on favorable conditions for implementing projects in free economic zones and industrial parks in Uzbekistan, tax and other incentives for foreign investors, and government support for startups in IT parks across the country.
Particular emphasis was placed on digital technology and artificial intelligence policy. It was noted that Uzbekistan is positioning itself as a regional hub for Indian IT companies seeking to enter Central Asian markets.
Indian entrepreneurs discussed with great interest the prospects for partnership in energy, digitalization, agriculture, and crafts.
Specifically, attention was paid to such pressing issues as improving energy efficiency, optimizing consumption, producing electric batteries, manufacturing solar panels, implementing advanced IT solutions, training and upgrading personnel in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, developing small technologies for processing agricultural products, organizing joint clinics, and launching joint projects in folk crafts.
The event included a question-and-answer session, where Indian companies received information on business registration in the FEZ, intellectual property protection in the IT sector, and other relevant topics.
Following the roundtable discussion, all participants received invitations to the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum and ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 in the capital.
