At the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Jeddah, a meeting was held with the deputy director of the Saudi company Muassasa Ahmad Abdulaziz Sadiq At-Tijaria, Emad Ahmed Saddiq, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of expanding the export of Uzbek textile products to Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi side was informed in detail about the large-scale changes being implemented in Uzbekistan, in particular about reforms to liberalize the economy and develop foreign trade, as well as benefits offered to foreign investors. Attention was also focused on the textile enterprises of our country and the quality of their products.
The deputy director of the company, in turn, noted that the agreements reached during the visits of the head of Uzbekistan to Saudi Arabia increased the interest of Saudi businessmen. He also expressed his readiness to cooperate on the import of finished textile products produced in our country.
“The textile industry of Uzbekistan has a long history. Fabrics made from Uzbek cotton and silk, as well as products of Uzbek national crafts, have received recognition in many countries around the world. In this regard, we are interested in purchasing ready-made clothing and other products from Uzbekistan”, – said Emad Ahmad Saddiq.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to organize a working trip of representatives of the Saudi company to discuss issues of export of textile and knitwear products from Uzbekistan.
