The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Maksudov met with businessman, senior adviser to the personal office of Prince Abdulaziz bin Mitab Al Saud Shuaib Bajwa, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
During the meeting, prospects for establishing business and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia were discussed.
During the meeting, it was noted that cooperation between our countries is expanding, and the volume of mutual trade is growing. The Saudi side highly appreciated the foreign policy pursued by the leadership of Uzbekistan, the efforts to establish good neighborly relations in the Central Asian region, and the large-scale reforms being carried out in the political, economic and social spheres.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Mitab Al Saud expressed interest in developing investment cooperation with Uzbekistan in the fields of oil and gas, agriculture, tourism and infrastructure.
Uzbek companies were invited to partner in the implementation of large investment projects in Saudi Arabia, carried out within the framework of the “Saudi Vision 2030” program by such companies as “Neom”, “The Red Sea”, “Murabba”, “Roshn”, “King Salman park”, “Al Ula” and “Line”.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026 is in tune with the “Saudi Vision 2030” program.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on organizing Shuaib Bajwa’s visit to Uzbekistan and considering issues of attracting Saudi Arabian investments in investment projects in our country.
