Issues of expanding Uzbek-Spanish trade and economic cooperation were discussed in the Spanish capital

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Jahongir Ganiev held talks with the head of the Eurasian Business Alliance “ACIR” Eduard Gulyan, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

Issues of deepening further investment cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

At present, the official representative office of ACIR is already actively operating in Tashkent.

In particular, the alliance is carrying out large-scale work on the implementation of 9 investment projects in the field of agriculture, winemaking, the introduction of the latest purification facilities, modern greenhouse complexes, renewable energy, and functional nutrition.

The head of ACIR noted that in recent years Uzbekistan has been demonstrating a fairly high rate of economic growth, which is actually a reliable basis for building up full-scale cooperation between the two countries.

According to him, against the backdrop of fundamental changes in the economic policy of Uzbekistan, as well as the ongoing course of “open doors” of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and in order to improve the country’s image in the international arena and thereby attract large investors to the economy, Uzbekistan has a good opportunity to promote trade -economic interests in the countries of the Iberian Peninsula.

Speaking about investment projects, the head of the alliance expressed confidence that the investment projects being developed in Uzbekistan “will undoubtedly be among the priorities due to the active introduction of modern know-how technologies and the involvement of leading European investors”.
