Promising directions for the development of Uzbek-British interparliamentary relations, bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation were discussed in London

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov held a meeting with Lord Francis Maude, a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, founder and co-chairman of Francis Maude Associates (FMA), the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The parties discussed issues of development of inter-parliamentary relations, trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UK.

Lord Francis Maud highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, including the measures being taken towards liberalizing the country’s economy and creating favorable conditions for foreign investors.

The British side noted that the FMA company is interested in cooperation with the relevant ministries and departments of Uzbekistan and helping to increase the investment attractiveness of the country.

An agreement was reached to organize a working trip for a delegation of the FMA company to Uzbekistan in order to take practical steps for cooperation.

Founded in 2016 in the UK, FMA provides assistance to developing countries in liberalizing their national economies, improving their tax systems and reforming their public sector.
