A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Deputy Minister Ilzat Kasimov and representatives of the Chinese companies Dongfang Electric International Corporation and Sinosure, the press service of the Ministry reports.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, financing, and insurance of investment projects implemented in Uzbekistan.

Dongfang Electric International Corporation is one of China’s largest corporations, specializing in the full cycle of energy project implementation – from design and engineering to procurement and construction.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to strengthen financial and technical cooperation and to expand collaboration in the construction of new power transmission lines.
