The MIIT hosted a meeting with an Afghan delegation led by Abu Bakr Zadran, the press service of the Ministry reports. The dialogue included representatives from over 50 Afghan enterprises alongside Uzbek companies from the food, textile, chemical, and construction sectors.

The parties discussed the prospects of trade and economic cooperation. A key focus was placed on intensifying direct contacts and establishing partnerships between the industry associations of both nations.

Particular emphasis was given to industrial cooperation. While Uzbek manufacturers presented their export potential, the Afghan side outlined its priorities in agriculture, mining, and logistics. The participants reviewed opportunities for joint projects, technology transfer, and professional training.

During B2B sessions, entrepreneurs negotiated specific supply agreements and market entry strategies. Uzbek companies confirmed their readiness for long-term partnerships. Discussions also covered the simplification of trade procedures and the advancement of transit corridors.

Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening practical cooperation, maintaining constructive dialogue on key bilateral issues, and organizing future engagements between their respective business communities.
