A meeting with the Chairwoman of Egypt’s state-owned pharmaceutical holding company ACDIMA was held at the MIIT

On 27 January, Shokhrukh Gulamov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Olfat Gorab, Chairwoman of Egypt’s state-owned pharmaceutical holding company ACDIMA, the press service of the MIIT reports.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, including the localization of pharmaceutical production, technology transfer, and the expansion of Egyptian pharmaceutical products’ presence in the Uzbek market. Uzbekistan’s strong potential as a regional hub for accessing Central Asian markets was also highlighted.

Particular attention was paid to opportunities for establishing joint manufacturing ventures involving Uzbek pharmaceutical companies. In this context, the parties also considered issues related to improving regulatory procedures and accelerating market entry for pharmaceutical products. The Uzbek side expressed its readiness to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of initiatives of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further developing practical cooperation and agreed to continue in-depth discussions on promising areas of collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector.
