A meeting with representatives of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) was held at the MIIT

On July 31, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shokhrukh Gulamov held a meeting with representatives of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM), the press service of the MIIT reports.

The parties reviewed the current status and prospects of cooperation under the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), as well as the progress of jointly implemented projects.

KEXIM’s portfolio in Uzbekistan comprises 27 projects with a total value of USD 3.6 billion. Of these, 9 projects worth USD 366.6 million have been completed, 10 projects valued at USD 1.08 billion are under implementation, and 8 projects worth USD 2.19 billion are currently under development.

The parties confirmed that the preparation and implementation of EDCF projects are carried out within the framework of the existing intergovernmental cooperation mechanisms and in accordance with the established procedures of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. Procurement procedures, as well as the selection of consultants, contractors, and suppliers, are conducted in line with the principles of transparency, fairness, and open competition.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue exchanging information and strengthening practical cooperation in the implementation of joint projects.
