On July 24, 2024, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with the Chief Administrative Officer of the United Arab Emirates ‘‘Silal’’ Humaid Al Rumaithi, the PR center of the Ministry reports.
‘‘Silal’’ was founded in 2020 and is a subsidiary of the ‘‘ADQ’’ holding from the UAE. It is one of the leaders in the production, marketing and distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables. Today, ‘‘Silal’’ manages more than 10 packing and distribution points and annually grows more than 100 thousand tons of fresh fruits, berries and vegetables, and also supplies food products to the ‘‘Carrefour’’, ‘‘Lulu’’ and ‘‘Coop’’ supermarket chains.
During the meeting, the company’s representatives were presented with the created opportunities for the implementation of investment projects in the field of agriculture and food industry in Uzbekistan, and new, promising project initiatives were proposed.
In turn, the Emirati side highly appreciated the comfortable business climate created in the country and expressed readiness to jointly implement projects for the cultivation and processing of fruits and vegetables, and the organization of logistics chains for the supply of in-demand products to the markets of the UAE and the Middle East.
