Staff from our country’s Embassy visited the Danish city of Aarhus on a working visit, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
Aarhus is Denmark’s second-largest city after the capital, Copenhagen. It is renowned not only for being home to one of Europe’s oldest universities, but also for its rich historical and cultural heritage and high level of industrial development.
During the visit, substantive meetings were held with Metin Lindved, Advisor to the Aarhus City Hall; Nana Balle, Consultant with the PR agency Kontekst Kommunikation; and representatives of Vestas, Beumer, and Grundfos.
During the talks, information was shared on Uzbekistan’s economic and social potential, reforms implemented in recent years, and the country’s tourism potential.
Green energy, water and waste management, food processing, logistics, information technology, education and science, as well as tourism and cultural exchanges, were identified as priority areas of cooperation.
During the dialogue, significant untapped potential for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Denmark, including in the area of interregional partnership, was noted, and agreements were reached on measures aimed at the practical implementation of existing opportunities.
