In the first half of the year, the export of IT-Park residents increased by 4.4 times

According to the results of the first half of the year, the number of IT-Park residents providing services in the foreign market amounted to 203 and increased by 2.7 times compared to the same period, “Dunyo” news agency correspondent reports.

According to the IT-park.uz portal, the volume of exports of park residents also increased 4.4 times compared to the previous same period and amounted to 53.2 million US dollars. At the same time, 88% of residents’ exports go to the USA, the rest to the UK, Germany, the CIS and the UAE. It is expected that by the end of the year the volume of exports will reach 100 million dollars.

Positive dynamics is also observed in the volume of services rendered – 2.3 trillion soums (for comparison: an increase with the same period – 2.3 times).

In the first half of the year, the number of IT-Park residents was 747 companies, which is 155% more than the same period last year.

It is noteworthy that out of 747 companies, 589 residents are in the city of Tashkent and the rest are registered in the regions, 134 companies were established in the first half of this year, 107 are foreign companies.

94 companies provide educational services in the field of IT. In addition, companies operate in the field of software development, data processing, business process automation, and information technology exports.

It should be noted that in the first half of the year, 249 companies received the status of an IT-Park resident. Thus, the growth rate, compared with the corresponding period, amounted to more than 300%.

At the same time, 74 companies were deprived of their resident status, and 110 companies were denied the status.

In addition, thanks to the benefits provided, IT-Park residents create additional jobs and increase the number of IT-specialists in the country. So, at the end of the 2nd quarter of this year, 12,500 people were employed in the companies of residents. This increased the number of additional jobs by 167% compared to the same period.
