The “Uzbek Investors’ Day” was held in the Polish Torun city

A business forum and “Uzbekistan Investors’ Day” were held in Toruń, Poland, aimed at expanding economic cooperation and strengthening investment ties between the two countries, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

The event was organized by the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in collaboration with several partner organizations, including the Asia-Pacific Society, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), and the Nicolaus Copernicus University.

The forum was held in the administrative center of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and brought together representatives of government agencies, business, and the academic community.

Representing the Uzbek side were representatives of the diplomatic mission, as well as Eldor Tulyakov, Director of the Development Strategy Center.

The Polish side was represented by delegations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Development and Technology, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, PAIH, as well as regional authorities and the Toruń City Hall.

During the event, the Uzbek delegation presented key reform areas implemented within the framework of the “Uzbekistan 2030” Strategy, as well as the country’s socioeconomic development in recent years. Particular attention was paid to economic liberalization, support for entrepreneurship, modernization of public administration, and improvement of the investment climate.

Participants were also provided with information on the conditions created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, including tax and customs incentives, the development of free economic zones, the expansion of industrial cooperation, the modernization of transport and logistics infrastructure, and the implementation of a digital economy.

Prospects for deepening interregional cooperation, developing industrial cooperation, and expanding export potential were discussed at the forum. Current and future areas of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland were also discussed.

Participants were also shown videos on Uzbekistan’s investment potential and the activities of the Termez International Trade Center Free Trade Zone.

In B2B and G2B negotiations, business representatives from the two countries discussed potential joint projects and reached preliminary cooperation agreements.

Forum participants expressed interest in participating in the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held June 16-19, 2026.
