A new Uzbek warehouse complex has opened in the port area of Riga, established with the support of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, JSC “Savdoni rivojlantirish kompaniyasi,” and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia, the press service of the MIIT reports. The facility is equipped for storage, processing, and labeling, and features dedicated showrooms. It will serve as a regional hub for distributing Uzbek products to the Baltic states and wider European markets.
The opening framework included B2B meetings featuring approximately 20 exporters, logistics companies, and business representatives from both nations. Additionally, a retail outlet under the “Uzbek Bazar” brand has commenced operations at the Riga Central Market to sell Uzbek food products.
The establishment of this infrastructure is projected to expand export volumes, diversify trade destinations, and strengthen the market position of Uzbek manufacturers within the European Union.
