Negotiations on expanding cooperation between small businesses in Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic were held in Prague

Uzbek diplomats met with Josef Jaroš, head of the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic, and Vítězslav Hruška, deputy chairman for international relations, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

At the meeting, they discussed expanding mutually beneficial economic cooperation, collaboration, and the implementation of joint projects between the two countries.

Initiatives to expand trade and economic ties, strengthen cooperation between small businesses, and launch joint investment projects were also discussed. The parties expressed a desire to develop direct contacts between entrepreneurs and regularly organize business forums and B2B meetings.

The Czech side was informed of the rapid development of the Uzbek economy, its great potential in industry, agriculture, information technology, medicine, and tourism, as well as the favorable environment created for investors in free economic zones.

During the talks, it was noted that Czech entrepreneurs, including innovative startups, are exploring the possibility of relocating their production processes to countries with more favorable conditions. It was emphasized that this trend creates new opportunities for Uzbekistan to attract technological and high-tech projects.

The Association’s leadership expressed its willingness to establish direct cooperation with the Union of Craftsmen of Uzbekistan and other similar organizations.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to develop a memorandum of understanding and hold further talks to coordinate bilateral cooperation and implement joint initiatives.
