The Embassy of our country in Riga, together with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency, organized the business forum “Doing business with Uzbekistan”, the correspondent of :”Dunyo” news agency reports .
The event was attended by representatives of the delegation of the Investment Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and IT-Park Uzbekistan, representatives of such Latvian companies as Cleantech Latvia, BAO Resourses, Latvia Packing, Freightman”, “Unimars group”, “Corporate Solutions”, and others.
During the event, information was presented on the reforms being carried out in our country in the field of economy, industry, investment and trade, benefits and preferences provided to entrepreneurs. Special attention was paid to the III Tashkent Investment Forum scheduled for May 2-3.
Latvian companies operating in Uzbekistan shared with the event participants their experience of doing business in the country, registering new companies, information about the conditions created for foreign entrepreneurs, as well as benefits that investors can take advantage of.
In her speech, the General Director of the Latvian environmental cluster “Cleantech Latvija” Evija Pudane noted that today all conditions for comfortable doing business have been created in Uzbekistan. The government of the country pays special attention to entrepreneurship, and significant benefits are provided for investors, which makes Uzbekistan very attractive for international companies.
As part of the B2B negotiations, an agreement was reached to organize visits to Uzbekistan for the heads of the companies Cleantech Latvia, BAO Resources, Unimars group and Art Soft. They will hold meetings in interested ministries and departments of Uzbekistan and discuss investment projects in the field of IT technologies, textile, agricultural and mining industries, as well as issues of importing Uzbek goods to Latvia
