The Uzbekistan–Samara Region Business Forum was held in Samara

On August 7, a business forum entitled “Further Expansion of Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Samara Region” was held in Samara, according to the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by Odilkhon Rustamov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan; Valery Fomichev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Samara Region; representatives of government agencies and business associations; and more than 100 companies operating in the automotive, mechanical engineering, chemical, light and food industries, construction, transport and logistics, ICT, and tourism sectors.

The forum focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Samara Region, developing industrial cooperation, attracting investment, and increasing export volumes.

In his remarks, Odilkhon Rustamov noted that by the end of 2025, bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Russia had approached USD 13 billion, the number of enterprises with Russian capital participation in Uzbekistan had exceeded 3,000, and more than 40 special economic zones were operating across the country.

Within the framework of the forum, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Samara Region.

In addition, entrepreneurs from Samara were invited to make use of the opportunities offered by Uzbekistan’s free economic zone oriented toward the Afghan market, and an agreement was reached for a business delegation from Samara Region to visit Uzbekistan in September.

Following the B2B negotiations, a number of contracts and cooperation agreements were signed.
