Samarkand will host the 59th ADB Annual Meeting, themed “Crossroads of Progress”

From May 3 to 6, 2026, Samarkand will host the 59th ADB Annual Meeting, themed “Crossroads of Progress”, the press service of the MIIT reports. The forum is expected to convene over 3,000 delegates from 69 countries. Participants will include finance ministers, central bank governors, and senior corporate executives who define the strategic trajectory of the global economy.

The program features between 70 and 90 events over four days. Key discussion pillars include green transformation, digitalization, and investment mobilization. The Business Forum will specifically focus on infrastructure development through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mechanisms and the attraction of private capital to ensure sustainable regional growth.

The event will be covered by 117 accredited journalists, including 84 international media representatives from 29 countries. This extensive coverage will provide global visibility for climate and integration solutions. Samarkand is set to serve as a premier platform for strategic dialogue between government entities and the private sector.

In addition to the Board of Governors meetings, the schedule includes thematic seminars and youth sessions. A detailed program is available on the official ADB website.
