The Senate held a meeting with the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan

On September 5, 2024, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick, the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that as a result of the reforms implemented in our country, multilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the United States have risen to the level of strategic partnership.

During the dialogue, issues of further expansion of trade and economic cooperation, establishment of permanent ties between businessmen of the two countries, especially female entrepreneurs, were discussed.

At the meeting, it was noted that social protection of the population in our country has been raised to the level of state policy, and significant work is being done in this direction.

At the same time, an exchange of views took place on further improvement of a stable investment environment in Uzbekistan, as well as the process of joining the World Trade Organization.
