A meeting was held in the Senate with the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan

First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoev met with the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Uzbekistan Jonathan Hanick, the Senate press service reports.

During the conversation, the results of the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States in July of this year were discussed, within the framework of which, together with the “Caucus on Uzbekistan” in the US Congress, “Uzbekistan Day” was organized.

Jonathan Hanick confirmed the US commitment to deepening the Uzbek-American partnership and highly appreciated the progress of reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan. In addition, new prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and the state of Mississippi were noted.

Noting the positive results of trade, economic and investment ties, the parties agreed to continue inter-parliamentary cooperation to create the most favorable conditions for representatives of the US private sector in Uzbekistan.
