Investment opportunities for Chinese companies in Uzbekistan were discussed in Shanghai

A seminar dedicated to investment opportunities in Uzbekistan was held in Shanghai, the correspondent of Dunyo News Agency reports.

The event was organized by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization jointly with the Consulate General of Uzbekistan. It was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Commission He Yong, representatives of relevant Chinese government agencies, and more than 50 leading companies.

As He Yong noted, Central Asia is a strategic hub of the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as a safe and promising market for Shanghai-based manufacturing enterprises.

During the seminar, participants discussed legal and cultural issues, as well as resource allocation challenges faced by businesses in the process of globalization. The participants also emphasized that the seminar would contribute to strengthening trade and economic cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.

Representatives of companies successfully operating in Uzbekistan, including INDRA E-Commerce Service Co., Ltd., SUS Environment, NIO, and others, shared their experience at the event, highlighting the incentives, investment climate, and legal framework established for investors in Uzbekistan.

Participants were provided with information about business opportunities in Uzbekistan, the favorable business environment, as well as the country’s logistical and infrastructure advantages for accessing European and regional markets.

Following the seminar, an agreement was reached to organize business missions of Chinese entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan.
