Uzbek-Chinese talks were held in Shanghai at the City Council for the development of international trade

Uzbek diplomats held a meeting with the Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhou Minhao, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

During the meeting, issues of further deepening investment, as well as trade and economic cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Shanghai, including by promoting the growth of business contacts between representatives of the Uzbek and Chinese business circles, were discussed.

Zhou Minhao noted that over the past year, bilateral cooperation between the parties has significantly intensified, in particular, fruitful meetings were held following the visits to Shanghai of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, as well as delegations of the khokimiyats of Tashkent, Samarkand region and other regions with representatives of the largest Shanghai companies. Following the talks, agreements were reached on holding joint events aimed at expanding investment partnerships, as well as exchanging visits of delegations of business circles of the two countries.
