The XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum will be held at Silk Road Samarkand

According to the report of the correspondent of Podrobno.uz, the Italian non-profit Association “Conoscere Eurasia” and the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan will hold the XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum on November 2 and 3, 2023. The event will take place at the Silk road Samarkand tourist center.

The forum is business-oriented; it creates unique conditions for free communication, business contacts and discussions. The format of the event will allow representatives of private and public companies from dozens of countries to meet each other and exchange views on a wide range of issues. Such dialogue is becoming especially in demand now.

Top officials of the largest companies and financial institutions, political and public figures, experts, diplomats from European and Asian countries, and representatives of various international and regional organizations will speak at thematic sessions over two days.

During the Forum, as part of its cultural program, the film festival of new Italian cinema N.I.C.E. will take place, which has been introducing audiences in many countries to the latest in Italian cinema for more than 30 years. Popular Italian performers will perform at the “Stars of Sanremo” concert. There will also be an exhibition of ceramics from Florence and Samarkand, which are sister cities. Access to the concert and exhibition will be free.

About a thousand people from dozens of countries are expected to attend, in particular, a large delegation of entrepreneurs from Italy interested in doing business with Uzbekistan and establishing contacts with Uzbek businessmen.

The Verona Eurasian Economic Forum has been held in Italy (Verona) since 2007. In 2022, the host country for the event was Azerbaijan (Baku). In 2023, Samarkand was chosen as the venue for the XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum, which for centuries served as the recognized center of the Silk Road, a crossroads of cultures, and a connecting link between Europe and Asia.
