Next year Samarkand will become the world tourism capital

Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili arrived in Samarkand today. At the new airport, he was met by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov.

Next year, Samarkand will become the world tourism capital – in 2023, a session of the UNWTO General Assembly will be held here. Active preparation begins. The UNWTO Secretary General will also visit Tashkent and inspect the new construction phase of the Amirsoy resort.
