A meeting with the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture of Iran headed by its President Samad Hassanzadeh was held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
This meeting was organized on the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Iran.
The event was attended from the Iranian side by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture Samad Hassanzadeh, his deputy Said Azgariy, the Chairman of the Iranian-Uzbek Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muso Ogaiy, the Deputy Chairman of the Trade Development Organization Kanotzodeh, the Ambassador of Iran to Tashkent Muhammad Iskandariy and about 15 representatives of Iranian companies working in such areas as textiles, construction materials, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
Our country was represented at the meeting by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhobov, his deputy Dilshod Rasulov and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Iran Fariddin Nasriev.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the prospects for further development of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran, expansion of trade ties, increase in trade turnover, as well as problems arising in the field of export and import between the two countries.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on the development of bilateral cooperation, which, in turn, will be an important step towards strengthening economic ties between the two states.
It is worth noting that the delegation led by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture of Iran Samad Hasanzadeh includes more than 60 representatives of the business community and is currently on a visit to Uzbekistan. Joint business forums of Uzbekistan and Iran are planned for September 19 in Tashkent and September 20 in Khiva.
